With over 12+ years of experience on the pit Nick and his wife Malissa bootstrapped a barbecue venture one sale at a time! Nick grew up in a small town and some of his favorite memories are watching his grandfather on the pit and enjoying a good meal after a long days work. His fire was lit at a young age. After serving in the Army, 82nd airborne division, Nick returned to civilian life and with that came transition. He sought purpose and structure and after years of working for "the man" the smoke started calling his name. In 2020 Blowin' Smoke began as a side hustle but with their signature Boudin Dip and Barbecue bundles now on the scene the small side gig gained steam! In 2022 Nick took the leap of faith to pursue barbecue full-time. With the support of his wife  Nick strives each and everyday to keep that fire lit! In 2024 blowin smoke purchased their first good trailer and hit the road making sure to feed as many people as possible with a smile and a memorable bite. Fastforward to 2025 and the oldest building in town became vacant. Persistence and determination and the deal was made on their first brick and mortar location at 1802 mainstreet Danbury, TX 77534. Nick and his wife adhere to the sentiment that, "It's hard to beat somebody who never gives up." This small team has won countless awards for their barbecue and have even made the top four of Houston's best brisket on 100.3 the bull's brisket bracket, a crowd voted poll!!! 

 So much of Nick's story has yet to be told or remains "off the record,"  but with our first interview under our belt I can tell you it is one for the books! I am hoping in time he may let me share more! The love poured into his craft, community and customer relationships is truly amazing.
